Katherine Martinez is just getting started at ODU. She was a student at Tidewater Community College (TCC) when she was nominated for the GI Jobs 2020 Inaugural Student Veteran Leadership award. She has since graduated and is now an ODU student, double majoring in sociology and criminal justice. Student veteran Luke Sanford is continuing his passion for service by studying nuclear medicine technology at Old Dominion University. Krista Brant, a Navy veteran, Navy Reservist, military spouse and mother, is well known around the ODU Military Connection Center (MCC). After serving 11 years as a nuclear electronic technician in the Navy, Brant realized that working in the engineering field wasn’t for her. Krista, stationed in Norfolk at the time, enrolled at Old Dominion University and made it a point to find every single resource the campus had to offer.
